Reflection of “Helvetica”

I think this movie is not bad, at least it is better than other educational film. I think that this film is good because of the interview, they interview the people who made Helvetica and what they think about this world. The other thing that is very good is that it shows the example of logos using helvetica. That’s why i think it is good.

For me, i never use Helvetica before and i agree we use helvhetica too much. We can see that many logos use helvetica such as Mcdonald and Facebook. they are all using those simple fonts and they all get famous. Therefore we can see that the people also like Helvetica because it is easy to read and also had a strong statemen.

In this film we can see that some people like this Font but some don’t for me i am more stanting at the one who don’t like helvetica. the reason why i don’t like it is because we use too much on it so that it goes crazy. However, still helvetica is still a good font i agree and also it is more easier to read than just “Time new Roman”. So i belive if we can use helvetica less than before and trying to make new fonts, we can also find other cool Stuff in the future.

I think that in the film those Typographer had really done a great fob at just designing this font. It also shows the history of Helvetica and also we can see how Typographer work to make fonts. They also make me feel Typographer were not as easy as it seems like and also I really think that to have a job like typographer were not bad at all.

In Conclusion, Helvetica were good words made by  typographer. We can see that to make a word is not easy but if you make a good font than the word might be very popular even the future. The most important thing i  learn is that: typographer hasn’t die yet!!

Info design example~ The Gapminder

Today i am introducing this flash stuff to you. This is call gap minder and i think it is pretty useful to know how the world is changing and also remind you the gap you never think about it that way. There are two different form of it. One is the Map mode which you can see the population of the country getting bigger, one is the chart mode and is More useful to the Map mode. By using the chart mode you can set X and Y into two different stuff such as the Internet per people use or the child and old per people. You can also setting the little dot in to diffrent things such as country this dot is or the population. If the population is getting bigger the dot will become bigger. Also there is a cool feature that you can click on the dot and track it. you can also track 3 or 4 dot in the same time and compare it. It is pretty fun when you play it because sometimes the data will show something that you will never think about it or forgot the truth. Anyway this is a good flash for the people who wants to know how the world are changing and other stuff!!!
